ALULA, Saudi Arabia, Feb. 18, 2025 - The Royal Commission for AlUla (RCU) is participating in the Saudi Media Forum 2025, held in Riyadh from February 19-21, under the theme: "Media in an Evolving World”. This forum gathers leading experts and specialists to discuss the future of media, showcasing its latest developments and digital transformations, and empowering innovators to exchange ideas and experiences.
Through its participation, RCU aims to present its vision and media strategies for sharing AlUla's story with local and global audiences. It will showcase its role across various domestic and international platforms, its investment in human capabilities development, and the empowerment of local talent. RCU will also showcase AlUla's rich cultural and civilisational heritage, as well as its initiatives in developing tourism infrastructure and promoting sustainable development.
Abdulrahman Altrairi, RCU’s Chief of Communications and PR and Official Spokesperson, will participate in a discussion titled "Modern Trends: Tourism as a Global Language”, exploring AlUla's historical and cultural heritage and the role of media in supporting tourism and economic development.
Turki Alsayari, Marketing Communications General Manager at RCU, will speak on "The Saudi Brand: A Global Competitive Vision", discussing the media strategy behind AlUla's new identity and its contribution to enhancing AlUla's global destination status.
RCU will present a workshop entitled 'Integrating Traditional and Modern Media to Build a Leading Media Experience,' facilitated by Alaa Kayal, AlUla Radio Management Director. This workshop will provide attendees with an analysis of AlUla Radio's strategic methodologies in the development of varied and engaging content, thereby illustrating its contribution to the reinforcement of cultural identity and the promotion of effective community interaction.
The RCU’s pavilion will showcase AlUla's multifaceted appeal through five key thematic pillars, demonstrating its unique blend of heritage and modernity: 'AlUla: A Timeless Legacy' reveals the ancient inscriptions that bear witness to the region's rich history; 'The Land of Civilisations and the Largest Open-Air Living Museum in the World' celebrates AlUla's unparalleled cultural heritage and its status as a living, breathing museum; 'A Human-Centric Destination' emphasises the deep connection between people and the environment, and the ongoing development of human capabilities within the region; 'A Vibrant Destination' highlights AlUla's diverse multi-sport offerings and its commitment to becoming a premier sports hub; and 'I Care: You Are the Storyteller, and AlUla Is Your Timeless Tale' underscores the vital role of the media in preserving and promoting AlUla's cultural heritage for generations to come.
In celebration of the "Year of Handicrafts," RCU is hosting interactive workshops and demonstrations by graduates and artisans from Madrasat Addeera, part of AlUla's cultural and heritage programme.
