Educational initiative aims to expand opportunities in AlUla while developing local talent
AlUla, Saudi Arabia, [Day Month Year]: Underscoring its commitment to educational excellence and human capital development, the Royal Commission for AlUla (RCU) has signed an agreement with the Saudi Electronic University. This collaboration will see the establishment of a new branch of the university in AlUla, a key development that is part of RCU's broader strategy to leverage education as a fundamental driver of socio-economic progress in line with Vision 2030.
A substantial investment in AlUla’s growing educational landscape, the partnership is designed to empower a new generation of students to achieve academic success and gain the skills needed to thrive in AlUla’s expanding job market. As part of the agreement, RCU will offer scholarships to qualifying Saudi students in AlUla, to be announced after the university's admission announcements.
RCU Spokesperson said: “The establishment of the Saudi Electronic University’s new campus in AlUla represents a significant step forward in our strategic educational and economic plans. The fully equipped and staffed facility will equip students with the academic knowledge and practical skills necessary to drive innovation and growth in AlUla and beyond.”
The Saudi Electronic University is nationally and globally recognised for its educational standards, ranking first in Saudi Arabia and 33rd globally for quality of education in The Times Higher Education Impact Rankings for 2024 within the UN Sustainable Development Goals. This accolade highlights the university's dedication to integrating global educational standards that attract local talent while preparing graduates for competitive careers and new opportunities on the international stage.
SEU’s new AlUla branch will be one of 13 across the Kingdom, ensuring the university’s wide reach and impact in promoting educational excellence throughout Saudi Arabia. The programmes offered at the AlUla branch are tailored to align with the region’s economic strategies, ensuring that graduates are well-prepared to fill emerging roles and support both the local and national economies. Initial bachelor's degree specialties will include Business Management (Accounting), Business Management (Finance), Business Management (Administration), and Information Technology.
